220 Repeater
This is the 220 repeater it consist of a "Flammable" case and a set of cans.
On the left is the two radios and amp. The receive radio is a Alinco DR-235 this is in line will a pre-amp. The audio is taken out of the audio out on the back of the radio, the COR or COS signal is taken from the db9 connector. We will be re-taping the audio signal so that is will not longer be an emphasized signal. The transmit radio which is the blue and black box is a Midland 13-509. This is only part of the radio. The radio was taken apart and put into two different cases. The 220 repeater was made up of both parts. The receive side of the unit was starting to go bad. That is why the Alinco is the new receiver. The transmitter is putting out about 10 watts into a amplifier and that is putting out about 35-45 watts.
In the picture to the right is the lower side of the case and the brains of the operation. The large gray box is the Astron power supply. On the top of that is the frog tin. The houses the repeater controller. This is a RC-100 controller. It is set up right now to not allow DTMF tone control. To the left of that is a blue and silver tin. This houses all of the connection that are made between the two radios and the controller.
Here are the cans. They are a set of Wacom br (band reject) bp (band pass). To the left on the cabinet with the red sticker on it is the 220 pre-amp.

Here is the antenna, it is an isopole. It is located just outside of the barn. The antenna is about 60 feet in the air. It is connected to the repeater with Wireman coax. CQ102. Greg has had great success with this antenna, he has had people check in as far as Greensburg.
If you have any questions on using the repeater or information on it, e-mail Greg Tatlock.
