KC9JOY 2 Meter Repeater

Information and Pictures of my repeater

I would like thank N9PUG Greg Tatlock, N9EVM Norm Richards, KC9JEB Marvin Borden.

Without the help of these gentlemen this repeater would not be where it is today.

Also I would like to thank Waskom Ag for allowing us to put the repeater on their property and tripod.

I am proud to announce that the  145.430 repeater is back in service in a new location.  Many amateurs in Seymour and Jackson county remember the 145.430 when it was part of the SARC (Seymour Amateur Radio Club).  It no longer is affiliated with them and the club no longer exists but the repeater does now.   The repeater is co-located at the same site as with my 440 repeater that has now been up for almost a year now.  With the install of a new antenna the repeater will be complete and up and running.

Now for the informative part of this page about the repeater equipment and install.

This is the repeater site.  Located on the north side of Seymour's downtown.

The repeater is located in this old telephone cabinet. The cabinet is about 5' x 2' x 5'. It has the

capability to have climate control on the inside.  At this time we are not in need of that.

You may notice a sticker on the front, this is for the security system that is in it.

As you can see in the picture above the cabinet is filling up.  This is an over view of the hole cabinet with both repeaters installed.  The four cans on the lower right are the duplexers for the 2 meter.  These are Telewave Bp,Br. They are able to do the 600Khz separation that is required and still drop the reject to more that 70db.  Then next item that you can see above that is the controller, this is a NHRC-2.  It is a voice id controller with dtmf programming.

More info will come as I update the site. This page is still under much construction.
