Information and Pictures of my repeater
![]()
I would like thank N9PUG Greg Tatlock, N9EVM Norm Richards, KC9JEB Marvin Borden.
Without the help of these gentlemen this repeater would not be where it is today.
Also I would like to thank Waskom Ag for allowing us to put the repeater on their property and tripod.

This is the repeater site. Located on the north side of Seymour's downtown.
This is the new antenna that replaced the GP9. It is a new Spectral Isopole. It is 142ft at the
base and about 146ft to the top.
The repeater is located in this old telephone cabinet. The cabinet is about 5' x 2' x 5'. It has the
capability to have climate control on the inside. At this time we are not in need of that.
You may notice a sticker on the front, this is for the security system that is in it.
Here is the inside of the repeater. On the top of the shelf is the transmitter. It is a ft-5100 which has been recalibrated to
output 25watts. It also has a large fan atop the case for cooling the finals. Below the shelf is the receiver, it is a Motorola
Radio GM300 UHF. On the side of the shelf is the duplexers. The are TX RX Systems. The output from the cans are 21 watts to
the antenna. The coax is CQ 4XL by The Wireman this is the same as LMR400 but much more flexible. The repeater uses 175'.
The power supply is a Pyramid. The brains of the whole unit is a ID-O-Matic. This controls both radios and give the id and tones.
For more information on this great piece of equipment check out the links page. The one thing that is the nicest about this
repeater is that it does not react to any dtmf tones. All programming must be done on site. As I get time and information put
together I will update the site.
Note: These pictures were taken before our security system was installed. In the new pictures you will notice a box with an
antenna on it that is the security system box.
