South Chestnut Fire

Seymour, Indiana

8-3,4-2009

Above is a picture as I arrived on the scene of the fire.  This picture is looking North West from Brown and Bruce.

Above is from the same location as the last but as you can see the flames are starting to come through there first building.

The fire started in the business of "Kidz and Company".

Here is a picture taken from the parking lot just to the west of the fire.  As you can see even with the best efforts from the Seymour Fire Department

the fire was able to spread to the next building to the North.  The building in this picture is the second to burn.

All the pictures above were taken the day after the fire happened.  The picture directly above is one of the windows of the first building.

As you can see you can see all the way through the building now.

This is what is left of the first building facade.

Here the Stat Fire Marshal Police is talking to the owners of the first business.  Next to the truck is the Seymour Police Chief.

This picture show what is said to be a crack between the buildings that formed due to the fire.

Finally below is a video of the fire.  It was taken with a digital camera so it does get a little fuzzy at times but most of it is just fine.
